Individual Therapy

Individual counselling helps people with their emotional issues, which can come from a variety of life experiences. The main aim of this form of therapy is to change the quality of life by defining the path of life clearly, and bringing in more clarity. Whether it is the problem of repressed from earlier in life that you are facing, or a current event that you are experiencing right now without an obvious link to the past, counselling can help you revive your mental health through systematic counselling.

There are many emotional issues that stay with us and come into our awareness only from time to time often not long enough, or without significant impact for us to feel the need to address them. With time, these issues can develop effecting our emotional well being impacting negatively on our daily life, such as lack of concentration, enthusiasm, self respect, will to change, encouragement, and so on. These issues can spiral into our lives in various ways and gets channelled into other areas, which can create problems in the relationships, professional life, and health. You can adress the the root cause of the problem after experiencing the neccesary and sufficient conditions for change from a counsellor.

As a person centred counsellor at the foundation of my practice are four main conditions that make for a unique environment to explore youreslf;
Non judgmental
Respect
Congruence
Empathy

This is in part where my training lies, experiencing the above conditions can be imensly powerful. Many people are fortunate enough to have loved ones and freinds who provide many of these conditions and may ask the question “why not just talk to them?”. Often that is sufficient, however people that close to us are often so entwined in all areas of our lives there is a limit to the depth at which we can safely explore our thoughts and feelings.

You are very much the expert of yourself and it is my role to provide the above conditions to help facilitate change. I am not here to tell you what to do, think or how to feel. I am here to listen to what you think and how you feel and by exploring that help you make sense of it enough to move foward.
